We prefer to see you sailing through The Hague on our boat. But we understand that there are several ways to enjoy the canals. So here are some tips from Jan & Lee.

Rent your own boat

Would you rather sail with your own boat in The Hague? Then you will miss our fun. You can rent rowing boats at the Waterkant in the Westbroekpark. Picnic basket along a go! This is a wonderful activity, especially for children. But also romantic as a first date. Super fun to go on the water featur. Do you find rowing a bit tiring? you can also go for a motor boat.

The motor boats of Bootverhuur Haaglanden are stable and safe, and you do not need a boat license. It is a sturdy plastic boat that can accommodate six people. Enjoy a day on the water. You can choose where you want to sail to or follow a planned sailing route. You can pass through the historic locks of Leidschendam, the picturesque lakes in the Westland or through the atmospheric city of Delft. Of course, the Binckhorst is also an option with Kompaan as the perfect stopover. To quench your thirst.

Active on the water

Go on an adventure and rent a canoe at canoe rental The Hague to be surprised by what you encounter on the water. Paddle through the historic center of The Hague and admire the beautiful architecture or go for the open water and set course for the Hague Trekvliet. In the Fokkerhaven you can relax on the terrace of Capriole with a delicious coffee and lunch.

Another activity is supping on the inland waterways. SUP is an abbreviation of Stand Up Paddling, which means that you stand on a supboard and paddle forward. So you need a bit more balance for this than with a canoe trip. It’s a fun way to experience The Hague from the water. For a supboard you have come to the right place at surfpoel. You can also take a basket with you on your SUP, and meanwhile fish litter from the water. Are you doing all right! two birds with one stone, shall we say. Sporty for body & nature!
