During Clean Neighborhood Action, we will be fishing for plastic soup during the May vacation on Wednesday afternoon, April 29, 2026. And the great thing is that you can help us for free!
Clean your neighborhood
Plastic soup is a global problem. Plastic waste pollutes our canals and eventually the small particles under water also end up in the sea, with all the consequences that entails. Animals in and around the water get entangled or suffocate in the plastic waste.
We love The Hague and would prefer it to be a plastic-free city. We want to raise awareness among children about the impact of plastic and litter. But above all, it’s a fun outing!
Plastic soup fishing is an activity that children are very enthusiastic about, that they will not soon forget, and that positively reminds them that plastic waste does not belong in nature.
But even as adults, we enjoy working with our hands and seeing the results after more than an hour of scooping. That is certainly satisfying. So feel free to come on board without children!
